“Dawning Reflection”
I wonder,
How far she feels from home;
How utterly isolate:
Estranged, alone.
Time has hurried its awakening, and
Behind her eyes the lights of a new horizon
Water fields of fertile and unfettered freedoms.
The light of wisdom pierces the thick of night, and I feel
Her truth,
The undiscovered Self
Eclipse the world's light.
The masks bestowed to her in labor
Dissolves the imagined darkness, enshrouds us in radiance within.
She is fire... dazzling, enamoring.
She is a Sun, a blazing light
Stuck in a moon's reflection.
